HRH Princess Tessy of Luxembourg has extensive experience in diplomacy, education, and fighting for human rights and women’s empowerment, all while raising her 2 boys.
Her Royal Highness Princess Tessy of Luxembourg has extensive experience in formal and informal diplomacy. She spent five years in the military, a portion of which was as a peace-keeper in Kosovo. Tessy passionately promotes a number of causes including human rights, women’s rights and global health.
In 2012, Princess Tessy received the Order of Civil and Military Merit of Adolph of Nassau. In 2016, Princess Tessy received the Mrongovius medal of recognition for her work on spreading humanistic ideas globally. In January 2017, she received the ‘Woman of the Decade Award’ from the Women Economic Forum for her work in women empowerment, security and peace.
In addition to her native Luxembourgish, she also speaks fluent French, English and German.
